Nancy | Charlotte NC Newborn Photographer | Kristen Hinson Photography

I know, I know...I'm WAYYYYY behind on blog posting session shares and sneak peeks.  Please forgive me!  If you've been following the Facebook fan page though, you've seen all of the adorable little ones, sweet families, and gorgeous couples that have been photographed recently.   Past sessions will be shared on the blog soon (with the exception of a few that we have submitted to blogs to be published - eek!), so hang tight!

And for now, here's a peek at the super gorgeous Nancy from today's newborn session...isn't she just such a doll?  ;-)

Blaine | Charlotte Newborn Photographer | Kristen Hinson Photography

Meet Blaine, my latest chunky monkey...after weeks of small babies I just wanted to eat his little legs up! Mom and dad were a joy to work with, and had lots of great ideas for incorporating their own things into the session.  I even had another first at the this session when we incorporated Dad's awesome red jeep.  Baby Blaine didn't mind as long as he got to keep snoozin'!  Mom and Dad, enjoy your sneak peek and I can't wait to share your full gallery. :-)

A little post-processing adjustments, and the photo below now shows a bit of the family's Gator Pride!

Caroline | Charlotte NC Newborn Photographer | Monroe NC Newborn Family Photography

Sweet Caroline sure did make me work for her portraits, but in the end I would say the results were definitely worth it!  Such a beautiful baby, she made her debut a little past what was expected - another sign that this little girl is surely going to steal the show as well as mom and dad's hearts!

Annabella - 6 months | Darlington SC Newborn Child Photography | Charlotte NC Newborn Child Photographer

Remember Annabella?  She's grown a lot since I last worked with her, but she's still as adorable as ever!  Her mommy brought her to me for her 6 month portraits, and we had an AMAZING time capturing her images.  Mom Sissy was super involved in the planning and had lots of great ideas she wanted to try out.  My favorite is the bath in a vintage tub at the end of Bella's session - this may be something I do with every baby from now on - weather permitting of course!

Isabella | Matthews NC Child and Family Photography | Charlotte NC Newborn and Child Photographer

We usually schedule 1st year sessions outdoors, but sweet little Isabella is a little too sweet for that - the mosquitos like to eat her up!  So we moved her session indoors, and captured some precious images for mom and dad.  This age is hard to photograph in-studio, because they are becoming more and more mobile, which can be a challenge when you need to keep them in front of a backdrop.  But a few tricks help hold little munchkins still every time without fail, like pretty beads and a basket to contain them...and of course the ever popular sunglasses!  Thank you so much H family, I had a great time meeting and working with you all, and can't wait to be able to share the rest of your session with you!

Turner Family | Charlotte NC Family Photography | Charlotte NC Lifestyle Outdoor Photographer

I knew when I arrived at our location and saw this family that we were going to have a great session.  Mom did an awesome job coordinating their clothing by mixing and matching for a fun look, and it really blended well with our urban location.  We had to fight for the little one's attention with quite a few things - rocks, a string of lantern lights on a fence, even a musician who set up on a nearby bench to play saxophone.  But as I always say, determination and patience will yield you great results every time!  Turner Family, it was a pleasure meeting and working with you, and I can't wait to share the rest of your images!

Emmie | Kannapolis - Concord Newborn Photography | Charlotte Newborn Maternity Photographer

I met Julie and Keith a while back for a maternity session, when little Emmie was still in mom's belly.  You may remember them from this photo:

About two weeks later, little Emmie made an early debut into the world.  From the beginning Mom had been super involved with session planning - she ordered a newborn tutu from Etsy.com, and we made plans for a Christmas setup as well as incorporating the baby skis that Mom first learned to ski on.  I love tailoring newborn sessions to make them unique to the family!  Thanks so much Julie, Keith, and of course Emmie!
